A Cork man was still on a life support machine and in a critical condition last night after he was attacked with a hatchet at the weekend.
Mr Michael O'Driscoll, from the Glen area of the city, was rushed to Cork University Hospital following a row between two groups on Saturday night in Comeragh Park, near where he lives.
