Harney's `cynical bid' targeted

Progressive Democrats leader Mary Harney has been "feeding into the very resentment and prejudices in our society that we have spent the last two decades trying to remove", according to the Fine Gael Dun Laoghaire candidate, Ms Monica Barnes. Ms Barnes said Ms Harney's lone parent policies were "a cynical bid to boost her support among the party's target electorate".
