The State Pathologist, Dr John Harbison, has been called to 218 post-mortem examinations since 1997, according to figures released by the Minister for Justice, Mr O'Donoghue. His assistant, the deputy State pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, has answered 223 calls since her appointment in 1998.
