Milan - Politics took centre-stage at the Milan fashion collections yesterday when the designer Gattinoni showed a skirt with the picture of Austria's far-right Freedom Party leader, Mr Jorg Haider, and the word "No" written in red.
Warm applause welcomed the Sudanese-born model, Clara Benjamin, as she strode slowly down the catwalk wearing the "anti-Haider" full-length skirt, which featured a swastika next to the politician's face.
