The National Hackney Drivers Association launched a campaign yesterday for new legislation enabling them to display their identity on vehicles, and for increased measures to prevent unlicensed drivers operating.

Mr Christopher Humphreys, general secretary of the association which represents 600 members in Dublin and other centres, said they had constructive talks yesterday with the Dublin Lord Mayor, Mr Brendan Lynch.
