Gardaí have recovered three handguns, several magazines and an estimated 100 rounds of ammunition during searches in Limerick.
The weapons were found yesterday afternoon in a number of houses and open areas in the planned operation in the St Mary’s Park area.
Gardaí said the searches were part of ongoing efforts to tackle criminal activity in the city.
