A man who attempted to rape a 22-year-old woman in Cashel, Co Tipperary, has been remanded in custody for sentence on December 3rd by the Central Criminal Court. Peter McDonagh (32), born in Cahir, Co Tipperary, but of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to attempting to rape the woman on May 1st of this year. He also admitted stealing £60 from her. Mr Justice Lavan requested a probation report on McDonagh and a victim impact report on the woman.
