Guidelines soon on patient abuse

New guidelines for dealing with allegations of sexual abuse against hospital patients were in "final draft form", the Minister of State for Health, Mr Austin Currie, told the annual conference of the Irish Association of Social Workers in Connemara. The guidelines are being drawn up following the controversy surrounding allegations of abuse at a Drogheda hospital.
