The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) is appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident in Co Galway on Sunday night.
At around 11.45pm a man (36) crashed his motorbike at Sralea, Ballinasloe, Co Galway and was later pronounced dead at Portiuncla Hospital.
It is understood the man was attempting to evade gardaí when the crash occurred.
The GSOC have appealed to anyone travelling on the Sralea Road between 11.30pm and 12.00 midnight who may have witnessed the accident to contact them on 086 6079443.
