Two groups of about 100 people in total held protests outside Leinster House yesterday against the payment of €700 million to bondholders of the now collapsed Anglo Irish Bank.

Members of the Enough campaign unfurled a large banner which read: “Where’s Our Referendum” while a Sinn Féin protest also took place outside the gates of the parliament building.

The protesters were joined by a number of TDs who participated in yesterday’s Dáil walkout on the issue.
