Sringar - A frontline Kashmir guerrilla group which started peace talks with India last week said yesterday the Indian army had violated a ceasefire, but said it still hoped to continue talks this week.

"We have information the army is still harassing people affiliated to the Hizbul Mujahideen", Cmdr Masood, one of the guerrilla leaders said in a statement.

He said as a result of the incidents, a scheduled meeting with Indian army officials had not taken place at the weekend. "The meeting may have been delayed but Insha Allah (God Willing), the meeting is expected to take place this week", the statement said.
