Up to 40 youths were involved in a disturbance in Warrenpoint, Co Down last night and early this morning.
The group damaged cars and threw a petrol bomb during the trouble in the seaside town, according to the PSNI.
A spokeswoman said no arrests were made during the incident which ended at about 3am.
"CCTV footage will be examined and any offenders will be arrested," she added.
