Group may sue over phone masts

A public meeting to consider the possibility of bringing a legal action against the State, mobile phone companies and local authorities who allow the erection of mobile phone masts was held at the weekend in Dublin. The action is being considered by the environmental group Irish Campaign Against Microwave Pollution and the Association of Combined Residents' Associations who claim that mobile phone masts and handsets cause electromagnetic radiation which is a source of ill-health.
