One child was killed and another hurt on Monday when a grenade in a rubbish bin exploded as they played near a Baghdad elementary school.
The grenade had apparently been dumped in the bin and was detonated by the children as they played close to al-Jiwadain school, which is in the Shi'ite stronghold of Khadimiya in northwestern Baghdad.
No further details were available.
