Athens - A dozen Turkish F-16 and F-4 Phantom warplanes violated Greek airspace on Christmas Day before being repelled by Greek fighterplanes, defence ministry sources in Athens said. The incident was "without precedent", the Greeks said, adding that under a 1988 agreement the two parties had to refrain from military activities on religious or national holidays.
