Athens - Two police chiefs suspected of connections with extreme-right organisations were suspended on half-pay in Thessaloniki, the ministry of public order announced yesterday. The head of the anti-riot police, Mr Spyros Koutroumanis, and the special intervention forces chief, Mr Nikos Kelidis, were seen in a video of a party in 1993 humiliating a naked man and singing the anthem used by the military regime that ruled Greece from 1967 to 1974.
