Athens - Greek authorities declared a state of emergency in the Attica region after a forest fire burst into life again yesterday, killing an elderly resident.
Police said that state authorities had put hospitals and emergency services on alert and drafted hundreds of troops in to fight the blaze on Mount Pendeli.
