Athens - The Greek government is set to legalise some 250,000 illegal Albanian immigrants already working in Greece, government officials said yesterday.
A law passed in June for residence permits to be given to foreign workers did not include immigrants coming from coun tries sharing land borders with Greece - Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
