Athens - Greece is to step up security to combat "Albanian criminality", Interior Minister Georges Romeos said yesterday following an urgent meeting called by Prime Minister Costas Simitis.

He said the aim is to combat crime by illegal Albanian immigrants, which Greek officials say is on the increase following the armed rebellion there earlier this year. - (AFP)
