Athens - The Greek national art gallery has bought the El Greco painting The Interment of Christ for $700,000. It will go on display from April 6th. It was painted by the Cretan-born Domenikos Theotokopoulos - known as El Greco (1541-1614) - in Venice between 1568 and 1570.
