The Department of Foreign Affairs has made a grant of £50,000 to the relief agency, Trocaire, to assist flood victims in North Korea. The money will be used to buy seeds, fertilisers and plastic sheeting for some of the 500,000 people left homeless by the floods. Trocaire is working with a partner agency, Caritas Hong Kong, one of the few relief organisations with access to North Korea.
