The Minister for Health must allow all GPS open entry to the General Medical Services and other State services, according to the National Association of Independent General Practitioners.

The association, which represents about 450 locums and assistants in practices, voted yesterday for the move, subject to doctors meeting Medical Council requirements for GPs and the State's stipulation that they be capable of providing a satisfactory service to patients.
