The Government parties were "split to the core on crime", Fianna Fail said yesterday. "Fine Gael's threadbare attempt to cobble together a crime policy has been fatally undermined by the softly softly approach to crime advocated by Democratic Left and Labour," said Fianna Fail's justice spokesman, Mr John O'Donoghue. He said there were nine differences on crime between the Rainbow parties' manifestos.
