EVERY year the Arthritis Foundation honours somebody who they feel has excelled in their chosen field at either national or international level. At a gala black-tie dinner at the RHA gallery last night Dr Martin Naughton was presented with their impressive Waterford Crystal "Dove of Peace" award.
Dr Naughton's family were out in force, including his wife Carmel, sons Neil and Fergal and daughter Fiona, who came with her fiance Donogh Lysagh. Norma Smurfit hosted a table, as did estate agent Fintan Gunne, stockbrokers Kyran McLaughlin and Tony McCarthy, and insurance man Adrian Daly. The rather superb catering for the evening was by two-star Michelin-man Patrick Guilbaud.
