Food giant Glanbia tonight signed a six-figure sponsorship deal with RTE's flagship health programme, the Health Squad.

Food giant Glanbia tonight signed a six-figure sponsorship deal with RTE's flagship health programme, the Health Squad.

The deal will run for 10 episodes of the series which averages 380,000 viewers per episode.

Glanbia spokesman, Joe Collum, said the firm selected the Health Squad, for sponsorship because it was the ideal vehicle to promote its Yoplait Essence range of yoghurt shots.

"We are delighted to support this television programme which responds to the specific health issues in this country," he said.

The Health Squad, fronted by a team of health experts, airs every Thursday night at 8.30pm.
