Dublin Children's Court was told yesterday of a girl who has a drink problem at the age of 16. She is charged with petty larceny, failing to turn up in court, breaches of the peace and trying to "hit a number of gardai with rocks".

The Finglas girl was put on an 8 p.m. curfew at her home for four months and ordered to attend meetings of Al Ateen, the self help alcohol abuse group. She was remanded on £100 bail to March 19th.
