A 2 1/2-year-old girl, Jean Hurley, of Coolreiry, Castleconnell, Co Limerick, was flown home yesterday with her mother, Mrs Lisa Hurley, after a liver transplant operation in King's College Hospital in London.

The child was flown to London by an Air Corps air ambulance on New Year's Day as there were no commercial flights available out of Shannon Airport.
