THE deferred trial of a brother in law off the murder victim, Mrs Philomena Gillane, was deferred yesterday on the application of defence counsel until the session of Galway Circuit Criminal Court commencing, next April.
Mr Kevin Gillane (38) of Glenbrack, Gort, had been due to stand trial on three charges relating to the alleged assault of two of Mrs Gillane's brothers during an incident near Gort, Co Galway, last year.
