Germany's Ifo sees 1.9% 2007 growth

Germany's Ifo economic research institute today repeated its forecast for the German economy to grow by 1.9 per cent in 2007.

Germany's Ifo economic research institute today repeated its forecast for the German economy to grow by 1.9 per cent in 2007.

The Munich-based Ifo told a news conference in Frankfurt that it continued to see 2.3 per cent growth in 2008. It plans to review its growth forecasts in April, it said.

Several German economic research institutes have in recent months revised their growth forecasts for this year and next amid strong growth in the German economy.
