Bonn - The German parliament yesterday rejected a bill that would have placed limits on smoking in public buildings and at work. After a heated two-hour debate, the Bundestag voted by 336-256 against the measure that would have banned smoking in public buildings and on public transportation. It would have also required companies to provide separate rooms for smokers.
