The Green Party has welcomed the German government's decision to suspend all imports of nuclear fuel from the Sellafield reprocessing plant in Britain.
The ban was imposed after recent revelations that safety data relating to fuel pellets had been falsified at Sellafield. The German government says the ban will remain in place until it is satisfied all safety standards are being met.
