MOSCOW - A Russian geophyicist committed suicide after not being paid for more than six months, Itar-Tass reported.

MOSCOW - A Russian geophyicist committed suicide after not being paid for more than six months, Itar-Tass reported.

The scientist, Dr Viktor Staroseltsev of the Nalchik Mountain Geophysics Institute in southern Russia, left a note explaining he was unable to support his family and saw no end to his troubles. In October, a leading nuclear physicist in the Ural Mountains killed himself for the same reason.
