Peg down strawberry runners into the soil or into pots of compost to make new plants. When the old plants have finished fruiting you can shear off tired and tattered foliage. Keep beans and peas moist and keep picking the pods as they form. Don't let sweet peas dry out; pick the flowers constantly to ensure that the plants go on producing, and don't let any pods form.
