Gardaí in Limerick are investigating the discovery of what is believed to be heroin on an area of open ground in O'Malley park.
The heroin which is subject to analysis is said to have a possible street value of €40,000.
It was discovered this morning at 10.30am.
No arrests have been made in connection with the discovery, but investigations are ongoing.
