The mother of a baby boy found abandoned at a bus stop in Dublin city has been asked to contact gardaí at Kevin Street.

The mother of a baby boy found abandoned at a bus stop in Dublin city has been asked to contact gardaí at Kevin Street.

The baby was found by a passer-by wrapped in tinfoil in a bag just after noon on Saturday. Gardaí are asking the mother to come forward as there may be concerns for her health.

The baby is reported to be in good condition at the Coombe Women's Hospital. Gardaí said the baby appeared well-cared for.
