Gardaí in Co Cork are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a missing 16-year-old girl.

Denise Foley went missing from Ballinhassig on Wednesday August 17th, a Garda spokesman said.

She was last seen in the Ballybrit area of Galway at 12.30am on Monday, August 22nd.

The teenager is described as of slight build, approximately 165cm (5ft 5in) in height, with black hair and brown eyes.

Gardai are concerned for the girl's welfare and anyone who may have seen her or who has information as to her where abouts is asked to contact gardaí in Bandon on 023-8852200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111, or any Garda station.
