Gardaí in Galway have appealed for the public’s help in identifying the body of a man found on a beach at Lettermullen on Thursday.

The body was discovered at Tra Dhireain Huston by a member of the public at 2.40pm. Gardai said the man may have been in the water for a number of days. His body was taken to University Hospital Galway for a post mortem.

The man is described as being 6 foot 2 inches, and of medium to strong build. He was wearing a Ralph Lauren dark blue and white check shirt, jeans and grey and blue Nike runners.
