Gardaí seek help on Cavan robbery

Gardaí investigating an armed robbery in Co Cavan yesterday afternoon have appealed to the public for information.

Gardaí investigating an armed robbery in Co Cavan yesterday afternoon have appealed to the public for information.

The robbery occurred at an Ulster Bank branch In Cootehill at about 4.40pm yesterday. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the robbery.

A red Toyota Corolla was found burnt out about 2 to 3 miles away on the road to Monaghan in an area known as Tullyvin.

Gardaí are appealling for witnesses who may have been in and aroud the Cootehill area and may have seen a number of individuals acting suspiciously in particular they would like to trace the movements of the red Corolla.
