The family of a University College Cork student missing since early on Thursday morning have appealed to the public for assistance.
Brian Ó Tuama (19), Ballyvourney, Co Cork, hasn’t been seen since he left friends at Daunt Square in Cork city centre at 1.45am last Thursday. A second-year arts student, he had been with friends at Gorby’s nightclub in Cork city centre.
He left the club at 1.40 am and was seen about five minutes later outside McDonald’s on Daunt Square at the end of Patrick Street.
About 200 people from Ballyvourney and UCC Cork joined gardaí in searching the city centre while a team of Naval divers is due to search the river Lee today.
