Gardaí have revealed that the man found dead at the side of a road near Mullingar town centre last night, died of natural causes.
The man was pronounced dead at Mullingar General Hospital shortly after midnight. He is believed to be a 28-year-old local man.
Earlier a Garda spokeswoman said there were no obvious injuries.
A postmortem was carried out by Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis today.
