Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information into the murder of a man in Dublin two years ago.

James Kavanagh died on May 31st, 2004, on Irishtown Road, Ringsend, Dublin 4. He was sitting in the passenger seat of a dark-coloured Nissan Maxima car near the Irishtown House Pub at about 11pm when he was approached by a man.

After a brief conversation he man stabbed Mr Kavanagh in the neck and killed him.

Gardaí today appealed for anyone who may have information on the killing to come forward now, no matter how trivial they feel the information may be.
