Gardai probe attack on house

Gardai were investigating an attack on a house in Ballinteer, Dublin, yesterday. The front door of a house at The Rise, Woodpark, was smashed with a sledge hammer and petrol was poured into the hallway on Wednesday night. Two men in the semi-detached house at the time were not injured. A Garda spokesman said the case was being treated as "an attempted burglary".
