Gardaí today named two men who died in separate road incidents yesterday.

John Keoghan of Silverlawns, Navan, died in single-vehicle collision in Co Meath on the Kilmessan to Dunsaney Road.

Mr Keoghan (46) was the driver and sole occupant of a van that crashed at 3.15pm yesterday.

Elsewhere, a man who died yesterday in Ballinasloe, Co Galway, was named as Declan Glennon (39) of Woodlands, Creagh, Ballinasloe.

The pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by an articulated lorry.
