Gardaí make cigarettes seizure

A seizure of contraband cigarettes was made earlier this week after a vehicle was stopped in Dublin.

A seizure of contraband cigarettes was made earlier this week after a vehicle was stopped in Dublin.

In a joint operation between the Garda and the Customs Service at Dublin Port, the estimated two million cigarettes were seized when gardaí stopped a lorry at Neilstown in Dublin on Wednesday, July 8th.

Gardaí also seized a lorry and a van.

The estimated retail value of the cigarettes was put at approximately €855,000.
