Gardaí make €600,000 cocaine haul in Dublin

A man was arrested last night after €600,000 worth of cocaine was found in a car in Dublin.

A man was arrested last night after €600,000 worth of cocaine was found in a car in Dublin.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped the car on the South Circular Road at around 9pm and recovered eight kilograms of cocaine.

The man is being held in Kilmainham Garda Station under the Drug Trafficking Act.

According to The Irish Timesthe man's three-year-old son was with him at the time of his arrest.

The child is believed to have been used as cover for the drugs movement.
