Gardai investigate shooting in Blanchardstown

Two shots were fired at a house in Blanchardstown, west Dublin this morning.

Two shots were fired at a house in Blanchardstown, west Dublin this morning.

The house on Sheepmore Crescent was occupied by a couple and their four children at the time of the shooting, which happened at around 3 a.m.

One shot was fired through the front door, while the second shattered a window at the front of the house.

Neither the parents, who were downstairs, and the children, who were asleep in upstairs bedrooms, were injured.

There were no arrests, and gardaí are investigating a motive for the attack.
