A 27-year-old is recovering in hospital today following a stabbing incident in Galway last night.
The man was found lying on Threadneedle Road in Salthill with a stab wound at 10.30pm.
He was taken to Galway University Hospital where his condition is today described at stable.
Gardaí said they were investigating the circumstances behind the stabbing.
