Gardaí are investigating the possibility that gas poisoning may have caused the deaths of an elderly couple in Co Tipperary.
The couple, who were in their seventies, were discovered at a house on the outskirts of Tipperary Town at around 3.15 this afternoon.
The bodies were discovered at the house after neighbours became concerned for their safety.
The house has been sealed off for a technical examination and it is understood that gardaí are examining a gas cooker at the scene.
