Gardaí in Dublin arrested two men yesterday after the discovery of a firearm.
The men, aged 22 and 28, were arrested after been seen acting suspiciously by officers in an area between the Royal Canal and the Dublin Industrial Estate, Glasnevin, at 3pm.
A car and a motorbike were also seized.
The men are being held at Cabra and Blanchardstown Garda stations.
