Gardaí have arrested a man in his early 30s in connection with the death of 36-year-old Ms Lorraine Crowley, whose body was discovered in Dungarvan on Thursday.
Ms Crowley's body was discovered at her home near the town centre at about 8 a.m. She was found dead in her bed by a family member. There was no one else in the house at the time.
The man was arrested in Cappawhite, Co Tipperary last night for a serious assault on Ms Crowley on Wednesday.
He is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Dungarvan Garda Station.
